Attention IHE parents, During the week of December 17-21, we will have dress-up days to enjoy the holiday season. This is an optional activity. Students will not be required to participate. Uniform pants are to be worn each day except on the Pajama Day. Please remember to check and make sure the clothing is school appropriate and warm enough for students to play outside during recess. Dear Parents, A family night of fun-filled learning experiences will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 for students and their families. Join us as you and your child participate in fun hands-on activities/experiments in the Science Zone. Learn ways to help your child improve their writing and reading skills and leave with more experience and knowledge about reading activities in the Literacy Zone. Come dressed to work out and burn some calories in our Athletics Zone. Come join in the fun as your child participates in fun learning activities in the Math Zone. Make your reservations today! Just a few short weeks of school remain and having a Field Day is a great way to close out the school year! We plan to have a lot of fun activities and games throughout the entire day. We welcome volunteers. We are selling tickets for Field Day. The students will use these tickets to purchase various food items. Tickets can be purchased at the price of 4 for $1.00 until May 10th. On Field Day, May 11, 2018 the tickets will be sold at the price of 3 for $1.00.

Good Afternoon IHE Parents! Indian Hills Fine Arts Night is tonight, Thursday May 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30. Kindergarten and first grade will be singing at 5:30. Second and third grade will be singing at 6:00, and fourth and fifth grade will be singing at 6:30. Students should arrive at least ten minutes prior to their singing time. In addition to the singing and artwork, there will be food available to purchase from several food trucks. While you are here don't forget to check out the auction in the library. There will be desserts and priceless class projects up for grabs. The auction will end at 7:00. See you tonight!

Indian Hills Elementary Winter Carnival is fast approaching. This event has been held in the fall in the past. This year the carnival is Friday, February 2, 2018, 5:30-8: 00 pm. With a new time of the year comes lots of new games for the kiddos, fabulous silent auction items, and concessions. You will have ticket information coming home this week. Please be on the lookout on DOJO for the link to sign up to volunteer for your student's classroom game. Don't forget to send the items requested from Homeroom notes to school with your student. IHE is doing an excellent job collecting donations for our food pantry and shoe drive! We are less than 500 items away from our food drive goal! If we meet or exceed 1,197 items, the entire school will earn an ice cream party. Come on IHE! We can do this! The class donating the most items will receive a popcorn party with the principal! So far, Mrs. Sullivan‘s class is in the lead for the food drive and Mrs. Wheeler‘s class is in the lead for the shoe drive! Please continue to bring in nonperishable items and shoes! Our deadline is November 16 for the food drive and November 17 for the shoe drive.
