On Wednesday, we sent out a message about contacting the NLRSD Child Nutrition if your student did not receive the P-EBT Summer 2023 card.
We thank you for your patience as we navigate the process. Our staff is responding to calls and voicemails as quickly as possible. Please feel free to email the Child Nutrition Office at fservices@nlrsd.org with the following information:
--Student's first and last name,
--Student's birth date,
--Mailing address
--Parent/Guardian's first and last name
--Telephone number
In order to receive the P-EBT card, the student had to be enrolled in the NLRSD on May 31, 2023. Please disregard this message if you already received the card.
If your student did not receive the P-EBT Summer 2023 card and they were enrolled in the NLRSD on May 31, 2023, families can call our Child Nutrition Office at (501) 771-8060 by Friday, November 17, 2023.
Remember, all of our students are eligible to receive P-EBT card because the NLRSD participates in the Community Eligibility Provision. This means that all enrolled students in our district are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge to your household.
This is the the LAST WEEK for the Sixth Grade Student Council annual canned food and nonperishable food drive to benefit the Amboy Food Pantry. This year is more important than ever, as the food pantry lost everything in the tornadoes last spring. The totals are VERY LOW this year. Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause and helping us make a difference!
Interim grades are due this week for quarter 2. Please make sure your child is turning in all missing work to their teachers!

It's time to get your groove on! PTA Fall Ball for NLRMS 6th graders is Friday, November 10th from 6-8 pm in the NLRMS 6 cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and currently available in our online store at nlrmspta.memberhub.com. We will have in person ticket sales on campus leading up to the dance during advisory period. Red Ribbon Week is next week, October 23-27. Join us on Monday by wearing NEON colors as we show how bright our mind is without drugs. Continue to support the fight against drugs all week by dressing up for each day's theme. See the graphic for more information.
Reminder: NO early dismissal tomorrow, October 18, since there will be NO classes on Thursday and Friday. However, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Thursday from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Early dismissal on Wednesdays only occurs when classes are in session a full week.
NLRMS 6 will host parent-teacher conferences on October 19, 2023 from 12-6 pm. Upon arrival, parents will be given a copy of their child’s schedule. Parents will visit their student’s first period advisory teacher FIRST to pick up the student’s report card and other student data. Parents will then be free to visit any of their student’s other teachers at that time. Your child's teachers are available to answer questions and hold conferences through email as well using the teacher’s last name and first initial of first name @nlrsd.org. We look forward to seeing you next Thursday!
The first quarter of 6th grade is already at an end. As we approach the end of the quarter, we plan to take time to celebrate our students' successes.
