We are also planning to have a collection bucket in the office that will allow our staff to donate to this cause. If you have some extra change please consider placing it in the buckets; we will take all of the donations and give it to the RMHC Day of Change campaign headquarters. Ms. Bonnette is our connection to this organization so we want to help her with this important project.

During 1st period on Monday, students that do not have a name tag will be required to purchase a name tag. They will be charged $5.00. The charges will follow the students to the high school, if necessary, and will be placed on the debt list.

Friday night this group of EAST Students put down their cell phones and devoted three hours to foster parents and their children. Fellowship North allowed our kids to host the event at their church. All of these students and some not in photo, played games, sang songs, danced, and spent time with some precious children so that their parents could have a free night out! We are proud of these young adults for realizing the importance of giving back to their community.

Parent Notification of BMI/Scoliosis Screening
Dear Parent,
On February 8th we will be conducting BMI/Scoliosis screening. We will be doing BMI/ Scoliosis on all 8th grade students. On February 9th we will be doing Scoliosis on 6th grade girls.
The procedure for screening is a simple one in which the child’s back is observed as he/she stands upright and as he/she bends forward. To observe this condition, each child will be asked to remove their shirt. The screening will be conducted in privacy with only the student and nurse present.
Any curvature or “back hump” that is noticed during the screening may indicate the need for further evaluation. If a problem is found, you will be notified, and we will recommend that you take your child to the physician of your choice for evaluation.
It is a state mandated screening. If you do not want your student to participate in the scoliosis screening you will need to let us know in writing 3 days before the screening date.
Phone calls will not be accepted.
If your child does not participate you will have to take them to a physician and have the screening done and return a record from the doctor with the results of the screening.
Thank you,
Tonya Green RN 7/8th Grade Nurse
Brooke Buckley RN 6th Grade Nurse
