March is National Reading Month! Join us in completing the R.I.S.E Reading Challenge this month. Check out the calendar below for details.

NLRMS 6 will pivot to virtual learning for Thursday, Feb. 24 due to inclement weather. Students were issued paper packets at school today for AMI work. They may choose to complete work virtually or on paper. Students should fill out the attendance form found in their teams’ Google Classrooms. *If a student can not complete the attendance form, they will be counted present for the day once they have turned in the completed AMI paper packet.* If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of your student’s teachers.

The NLRSD will pivot to remote learning for Thursday, February 24, 2022, as a result of inclement weather and the pending forecast for tomorrow.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Next Monday, Feb. 14 is Valentine's Day. While we want students to enjoy the day, we will not allow large items such as balloons or oversized stuffed animals in the classrooms. They are distracting to the learning process. Also, we will not be accepting deliveries for students. Please be mindful of this as you make your plans for the holiday.

If you signed your student(s) up for after school tutoring at NLRMS 6, we will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 3:30 pm. If you will be picking your child up from tutoring, please remember to pick them up by 5:15 pm.

All campuses and Central Office sites will be open tomorrow, February 7, 2022, at normal times.

Dear parents/guardians,
NLRMS 6 will continue with its plan to hold conferences virtually. Sign up geniuses were previously issued to parent emails on file. If you have not had the opportunity to schedule a conference, please reach out to one of your child's teachers or MCL. They will be happy to work with you on scheduling a conference.

NLRSD schools and offices will remain closed for Friday, Feb 4. Students should log in to their team Google Classrooms to complete the daily attendance forms and be counted present for AMI days. Class assignments are also posted in teacher Google Classrooms. Teachers are available via email or scheduled zooms should students need assistance .

The NLRSD will continue remote learning for February 4. No on-site instruction, after-school activities, or athletic events will occur as all campuses and Central Office sites will be closed.

The North Little Rock School District has been made aware of Governor Asa Hutchinson’s mandate to end contact tracing. However, Governor Hutchinson has given school districts the ability to make health decisions in the best interest of students and staff.
Over the coming days, administrators and nurses in the district will review data and will make recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the North Little Rock Board of Education in the form of a resolution.
For now, we will continue our current procedures regarding contact tracing and quarantines.
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Due to a staffing shortage this afternoon in the Transportation Department, there could be delays in buses arriving at our campuses and, therefore, dropping off students at their respective destinations.
Thank you for your patience!
