Good Afternoon NLRMS 7/8 Family! This message is a reminder that we will begin our new cell phone procedures tomorrow. Teachers will collect cell phones and store them in a secure place during instruction. Any student who does not follow the procedure will meet with an administrator. Parents will be responsible for picking up the phone if it is confiscated by an administrator.
UPDATE: Due to the predicted forecast of icy conditions, all schools in the NLRSD will be closed on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Central Office employees will report to their work sites at 11:00 a.m.
The Showcase + Transition Fair that was scheduled for January 23rd has been postponed to a later date. I will share the date once we get it worked out.

Due to the prediction of ice, the NLRSD will implement a two hour delayed start time for 1/22. We will continue to monitor the weather and will provide an update in the morning in the event classes are canceled.

NLRHS and the Center of Excellence will host a Showcase and Transition Fair on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for current and potential families to come and learn about all of the exciting programs available to students who attend the schools. In addition, families will get a chance to learn about the Special Services Department and how they assist students with 504 plans and IEPs.

Happy New Year! Students will return back to campus tomorrow. Students will continue to follow their 2nd nine weeks schedule tomorrow.
NLRMS students took the opportunity to spread some holiday cheer and visited the Ronald McDonald House this week. They took items, such as books, games, cleaning supplies, and toiletries, to provide for families that are staying at the home as their child receives care at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Their teachers, Mrs. Batte and Mr. Beasley, said that this experience was planned to teach students about being servants in the community.

The NLRMS 7/8 Administration Team has noticed such a positive change in the number of tardies and discipline referrals that they would like to say "Thank You" to all of our students and, as a reward, they will be able to wear their Ugly Holiday sweater or their Holiday Pajamas ONLY ON FRIDAY, December 22nd. As the Administration team, we want our students to know just how grateful we are for all their hard work over the past several weeks at school! #TheWildcatWay
