NLR Middle School

Students enrolled in the Virtual Academy can take part in the curbside meal service at their respective school (except Pike View) beginning on Monday. Students will receive a meal box containing a week's worth of breakfast and lunch. Staff will place food in trunk. Proof of enrollment is required. The meals are free for EVERY student in the district.

The NLR Board of Education voted to approve new start and end times for our schools. The times are as follows: Elementary: 7:50 a.m.-2:35 p.m. Middle: 8:10 a.m.-3:25 p.m. High: 8:40 a.m.-3:55 p.m. Pre-K times will remain the same: 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Schools will open to students who ride buses first. The following are drop off times for students who drive, walk, or are dropped off. Elementary: 7:20 a.m. Middle: 7:40 a.m. High: 7:55 a.m.

Good evening, Students who are enrolled in the virtual academy at NLRMS 7/8 Campus will be able to pick up their chromebook and first two novels for the semester Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00 each day. Please remain in your car and a staff member will be out to assist you.

Last night, the North Little Rock Board of Education voted not to mandate the uniform policy for the 2020-2021 school year. Our elementary and middle school students wear uniforms. We know that some families have already purchased uniforms for the new school year. Feel free to send your student to school in that apparel. We understand that many of our families have been negatively affected by this pandemic and are unable to purchase uniforms for their students. Please be aware that teachers and administrators will expect students to report to school in presentable, distraction-free attire. Those who do not will be subject to disciplinary actions. Per the directives from yesterday's news conference, the North Little Rock School District will offer the traditional, five-day blended learning option and a 100% virtual learning option. If you want your child to participate in our Virtual Academy, the deadline to register the student is Friday, August 7 at noon. This is one form per child. For instance, if you have two children who will participate in the Virtual Academy, then you must complete two forms. These are the dates and times each campus will distribute chromebooks for those who indicated that they would need a device for the Virtual Academy. Please remain in your vehicle and allow school staff to bring devices to you to ensure this is an orderly and safe process.

Cross Country Tryouts Schedule 8/17: 7th Grade Girls 8/18: 7th Grade Boys 8/19: 9th- 12th Grade Girls and Boys 8/20: 8th Grade Girls and Boys All tryouts will be held at the NLRMS Track beginning at 3:30 pm. Anyone interested in trying out must have a current sports physical and consent forms on file. If needed, forms can be found on the District website. Once completed email them to sartinm@nlrsd.org and brownd@nlrsd.org You MUST email Coach D. Brown your name, grade, ID# and parent contact information PRIOR to the tryout date. Beginning today, 7th & 8th Grade football practice will be held from 9a-11a at the NLRMS football field. Transportation will not be provided.
