Flu season is here. Don't send your child to school with fever. This does not mean after taking medicine. Students are still contagious even if fever has been reduced by medication. Please help us.

Band nights will be held this week for 5th grade students who are interested in being in 6th grade band next year. Band nights will be held February 20, 22 & 23, from 4 until 7 at the NLRMS Mini-Auditorium. It is mandatory for students and parents to attend.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Monday,
February 20. There will be no school for students that day. We look forward to seeing parents for conferences at Lakewood Elementary this Monday.
Hello Parents. Lakewood Valentine's parties are Tuesday, February 14 from 2 until 2:30. Students may wear Valentine's shirts that day. We cannot accept any deliveries for students. This is new policy
LWE enjoyed their 1st SLAM Night. The student's Science Fair Projects, along with Math and Literacy activities, and Zumba were offered for families to enjoy and learn together.

SLAM Night will be held at Lakewood Elementary this Thursday 2-9-17. It will be from 5:00-7:00. Parents and students may see science fair and participate in math, literacy, and athletic activities.

Lakewood Elementary School's picture make-up day is cancelled for December 14. It has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Student Council is doing a fundraiser for the Pulaski County Humane Society. 12/2 bring $1 to wear holiday shirt/socks and on 12/9 bring $1 to wear Santa hat/reindeer/elf ears!
Lakewood Elementary is doing a toy drive this week for River City Ministries. These toys will benefit children who might otherwise not have gifts for Christmas. See our school news for a wish list.

Lakewood's Ninja Warrior Day was AWESOME!!! Thank you very VERY much to our Spirit Squad Team for organizing this fun fundraiser. The students loved running the course. Thanks for supporting LWE!
