October is National Principals Month. Dr. Pilewski presented Mrs. Logan with a plaque to thank her for her steadfast leadership and outstanding service to the students and staff at Lakewood.

Dear Lakewood Elementary Community,
It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we inform you that a second grade student in our self contained classroom at Lakewood Elementary has suddenly passed away. On behalf of the entire North Little Rock School District, we express our condolences to the family, teachers, classmates, and friends of our deceased student.
Mrs. Mandy Fimple, our school counselor, is ready to connect with any student or staff member that needs counseling through the grieving process. In addition, administrators have connected with other counselors, who are ready to work with students and staff. The school's phone number is (501) 771-8270.
The mental health of our students and staff is our top priority. We will do all that we can to fully embrace our community. We are all in this together.
