It's Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so thankful to all teachers across our district. Join us in saluting them for their hard work and their drive to always put students first. Reach out to a former teacher or your student's teachers and share how much they've made an impact!

Attention IHE Parents and Guardians, Over the past two years, NLRSD has provided Hotpots to select families to assist students with their virtual assignments during the pandemic. T-Mobile and AT&T hotspots were checked out to families in the district. It's time to start returning those Hotspots. The district is soon to be audited for grant purposes and is needing each Hotspot to be returned prior to Friday, May 13th. This audit serves to better support the district in making technology projections for the next school year. If HotSpots are not returned by the date assigned they will be disconnected by the provider. In addition, AT&T Hotpots will automatically be disconnected because the contract has ended. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the building principal, Dr. Coleman, or the media specialist, Mrs. Bruce. 501-835-5622 Thank you so much for your cooperation.

This is a follow up to earlier communication about our plans during severe weather. At this time, we will continue with normal dismissal procedures for our Pre-K and elementary students and staff only. We will continue to monitor the weather and will provide additional communication as it relates to dismissal plans for middle and high school students and staff. If a parent wishes to pick up their child, it must be done before a tornado warning is in place. Once students and staff are in shelter, we cannot release them for safety reasons until the warning expires. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

The North Little Rock School District has been made aware of Governor Asa Hutchinson’s mandate to end contact tracing. However, Governor Hutchinson has given school districts the ability to make health decisions in the best interest of students and staff. Over the coming days, administrators and nurses in the district will review data and will make recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the North Little Rock Board of Education in the form of a resolution. For now, we will continue our current procedures regarding contact tracing and quarantines. The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
