See you on Monday, August 14!
Due to a student database update conducted by the AR Department of Education, there is a delay in returning student registration. A returning student is defined as a student who finished the 2022-2023 school year in the NLRSD. When registration opens, families will receive an email from Arkansas State Department of Education. Snap codes will be included in that email. We will let you know when registration opens.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Summer school at our campuses will resume on Tuesday at the regular times. Central Office sites will also reopen and will be operate the normal summer hours.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
This spring, NLRSD will administer state tests designed to provide information on student knowledge. Federal and state laws require these tests. Schools and districts use these test results to benefit students. The data gathered from this year's state assessments and other data will help educators support students when they return to school in the fall.
Students in grades 3-5 will participate in the following assessments:
Tuesday, 04/18/23 - ACT Aspire English
Wednesday, 04/19/23 - ACT Aspire Math
Thursday, 04/20/23 - ACT Aspire Science
Tuesday, 04/25/23 - ACT Aspire Reading
Wednesday, 04/26/23 - Grade 5 ACT Aspire Writing
Thursday, 04/27/23 - Grade 4 ACT Aspire Writing
Tuesday, 05/02/23 - Grade 3 ACT Aspire Writing
We want your child's state testing experience to be as stress-free as possible. Your
positive outlook will help support your child's experience. State assessment results
do not affect your student's grades in any way. On average, a student will spend up to one hour on ACT Aspire assessments. While we support parents in making choices for their children, there is no "opt-out" of state assessments under state or federal law. Students who are not assessed will count against our school's required 95 percent participation rate, creating an incomplete picture of their school's performance. Assessment results help target support and resources to students and schools that need them most. The test results may also inform future state education programs and policies to help NLRSD students catch up on delayed learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
By working together, we can make your child's test experience positive and successful. Here are some suggestions that you can do to help your child succeed.
Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep before the test.
Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or in the cafeteria at school.
Make sure your child arrives at school on time (before 7:50).
Please encourage your child to do their best.
Please remind your child to use their time wisely.
Thanks for your support!
IHE Staff
