On October 5, American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) hosted a continuing legal education (CLE) program, "Modern Jury Trials: The Effect of Today’s America on a 'Jury of Your Peers.'"
ABOTA reached out to several schools in the area and invited them to the program. The NLRHS Advanced Debate and Forensics class attended this event and heard some amazing speakers such as Hon. Lavenski Smith, 8th Circuit Court of Appeals; Hon. Christopher R. Cooper, U.S. District Judge, District of Columbia; Dahlia Lithwick,
journalist and author; and Benjamin Crump, nationally recognized trial lawyer.
This was a great educational opportunity for the students. Special thanks ABOTA for this great experience.
