Did you know that we have a group of talented 5th graders who spend their recess playing chess? These students have discovered a passion for the game and have been teaching each other the fundamentals.
Today, we had the honor of hosting National Chess Master Tony Davis, a nine-time state chess champion of Arkansas! He shared his expertise with our 5th grade students, demonstrating advanced techniques and strategies.
The students were thrilled to learn from such a distinguished guest, and Mr. Davis was incredibly impressed by their enthusiasm and skill!
Let's continue to encourage and support our young chess enthusiasts as they hone their talents and expand their horizons. ♟️
