What a SPECIAL time we had last night at our Parent and Family Game Night!! Our parents learned how to prepare a simple smart meal and smoothie for their families. (Grilled chicken wrap and strawberry banana smoothie) Thank you, Heather Rhodes for hosting an amazing family cooking event!
Our students enjoyed games outside in our courtyard area. The weather was perfect..but the collaboration and the teamwork of our parents and families were PRICELESS during our FRESH Market Sweep game! Thank you to our staff, STARS volunteers, students, and families!

BOOK FAIR EXTENDED:
Scholastic has agreed to extend the book fair due to inclement weather. We will have two more days to shop. Monday, April 10th, and Tuesday, April 11th.
Remember students are able to shop before school, during Lunch with a Loved One today, and after school, if they can.

The threat of severe weather has been extended to 4:00 p.m. in our community making school operations potentially unsafe. Due to the extended forecast and out of an abundance of caution for all our employees, all Central Office and school sites will be closed today. There will be no on-site instruction, after-school activities, or athletic practices and events, as all Central Office and school sites will be closed. No transportation or food services will be provided.
Remote learning for students is in effect as previously communicated.
Due to the prediction of severe weather occurring at our delayed start times, the NLRSD will operate on an Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) model for Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Virtual instruction will begin at the delayed start times.

We are monitoring the weather, as forecasters predict another round of severe weather. Out of an abundance of caution, the district will delay school start times and office start times by 2 hours and 30 minutes on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Pre-K/Elementary School: 10:20 a.m.
Middle School: 10:40 a.m.
High School: 11:10 a.m.
All Central Office Sites: 10:30 a.m.

Last week, a few of our Boone Park students had the opportunity to participate in the grand re-opening of FUNLAND at Burns Park! Our students spent the afternoon with the NLR Mayor, Hartwick, and local and park officials. They had a BLAST trying the new rides and being at the ribbon-cutting ceremony!

Attention Parents and Families:
Community Support Day TODAY from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at North Little Rock High School.
Food will be provided, along with a place for children to play while parents and caregivers can charge electronics, take care of personal matters, and further seek the resources and support they need from our school district.
We hope you can attend!
On Monday, April 3, 2023, there will be NO SCHOOL for ALL NLRSD students, however, staff will report to their buildings. No virtual assignments or remote learning. The NLRSD wants to give families the opportunity to regroup from the catastrophic events of the tornado on Friday. If you have any questions, please contact the school. 501-340-5160
