This month's Parent North Star recipients are Adam and Kendal Keathley. The Keathleys, both alums with a child in the district, own Cornerstone Pharmacy. They agreed to coordinate a vaccination clinic in our district. They traveled to our campuses and offices and vaccinated the majority of our employees. We appreciate the Keathleys!

Cenergistic, an energy conservation company, saluted the NLRSD for $1.1 million in cost avoidance as a result of energy-efficient changes made over a nearly three year period. The district and Cenergistic formed this partnership in 2018.

Following the death of a classmate, some NLRHS sophomores created a digital series called “Let’s Talk Wildcats,” an outlet for their peers to talk about the stresses of high school and life in general. The cast members of the series were recognized tonight.

The NLR Board of Education saluted the Varsity Cheer squad, the reigning Class 6A State Champs in the All Girls Division! They performed their routine at state with ZERO deductions, meaning no mistakes! They beat the second placed team by more than nine points!

The NLR Board of Education recognized the Varsity Boys Basketball team, the 2021 Class 6A State Champions! They finished the year with a 21-2 record. They defeated Little Rock Central in the championship game.

Angie Haustein, a speech pathologist at Boone Park, received the Superintendent’s Honor Roll recognition. She was recommended by her principal, Steve Orobona. Haustein is credited for mentoring new teachers and building relationships with parents and families.
