Students and staff across the district are wearing red today to bring awareness to dyslexia. October is Dyslexia Awareness Month!




NLR Academy staff and students wear red in support of Dyslexia Awareness day!




On Friday, the NLR Charging Wildcat Football Team will travel to War Memorial Stadium to take on Catholic. Game tickets will be sold at the stadium on that night. We will not have any tickets to purchase prior to the game. NLR will be on the west side of the stadium (press box/Razorbacks home side). All NLR fans will need to purchase their tickets and enter on the west side.


Briley Harms, Jude Hirscheider, and Lily Browning, fourth grade students at Lakewood Elementary, are featured in "The Small Works Project" through The Kennedy Center! They are collecting adult socks for the homeless.

Students in kindergarten through third grade in the North Little Rock School District will be provided standards-based report cards instead of the traditional report cards that contain letter grades.
This is a new initiative that will show parents how students fare when it comes to the standards set by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Congratulations to Aaron Sims for being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau!
Sims, a senior, had 198 yards on 47 attempts. He also scored two touchdowns! The Charging Wildcats survived in a thriller against the Conway Wampus Cats, 39-37.
Friday's matchup against the LR Southwest Gryphons has been cancelled. However, please wear your NLR gear on Friday in honor of homecoming! The Charging Wildcats will be back in action on October 16 against the LR Catholic Rockets at War Memorial Stadium.

Friday's Varsity Football game between LR Southwest and NLR has been cancelled because of COVID-19 cases in the Little Rock Southwest football program.
North Little Rock will play LR Catholic on 10/16 at War Memorial Stadium. NLR fans can purchase tickets and sit on the West (press box) side of the stadium on game night.


We have been approved to have Virtual Learning Fridays! This will begin on 10/23.
In summary, attending school on Fridays is optional. Students enrolled in face-to-face instruction will have the option of completing assignments either in person or at home. Virtual students will complete assignments as normal. These assignments will be completed asynchronously, which means there will be no live instruction. No new material will be introduced. Attendance will still be taken.
