Ridge Road Flu Clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24 from 9-11 am. Consent forms are being sent home this week. Students must have a completed form in order to receive the vaccine. Forms are also available on the NLRSD website for your convenience. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse. UPDATE: Walk & Bike to School Day has changed to FRIDAY October 12th, with the impending rain! We will meet at Levy Church of Christ on Camp Robinson Road at 6:45 am and start walking or biking no later than 7:00. We will take the trail to Massie Road up to Ridge Road and then cross over the walking bridge. Parents are more than welcome to volunteer and walk with us. Please sign up with your classroom teacher if you plan on participating or volunteering.

FLAG FOOTBALL Practice is this Wednesday at 5:30! If you are interested in playing then just show up to practice with Coach Ford. This is for grades K-5 and the cost is $20. From RRE: Our girls basketball team will play in the championship tomorrow at 10:30am in the high school arena. The cheerleaders will compete at 1:30pm. All stars will play games afterward. The North Little Rock Elementary Schools will hold individual conferences with parents to explain their child’s progress in school. These conferences will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Friday, February 16, 2018, from 8:00 am to – 11:00 am. No School for Students on February 16th. The parent-teacher conference, which will last approximately ten to fifteen minutes, will give the teacher(s) and you an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in all areas of the school program. Make sure you have scheduled yours and be on time.

Valentine's Parties are tomorrow at 1:30. Be sure to send valentine's with your child to pass out to their class. Parents are welcome to visit the classroom during party time. SLAM Night On Thursday, February 8th, Ridge Road Elementary will host “SLAM Night” starting at 5:30. Students and parents will be involved with Science, Literacy, Athletics, and Math learning stations. It will be an evening of learning made fun! Pizza will be served for all those that attend. Ridge Road Elementary Family Barnyard Dance Come Join us on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the school gym for a PTA meeting followed by a night of fun. Come dressed in your western wear. We will learn traditional folk dances. Then you can dance the evening away with your kiddos.

Introducing our new PTA President: My name is Jamie Prater my son is in 3rd grade here at Ridge Road Elem. I have been married to my husband for 15 years this December. I have lived in Arkansas for almost 30 years now. I moved down here from Chicago with my mom when I was 8 years old. We love to camp and play on the lake. I love to read and I am a big kid at heart. My favorite book series are Hunger Games, Twilight, Percy Jackson, House of Night. Our Favorite movies are Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit just to name a few. I work part time at Hillcrest Camshaft in Little Rock, Ar. I am so beyond happy to PTA president, and will do my best to help make Ridge Road Elem one of the coolest schools in the district.

We are collecting Box Tops for Education this year. We hope everyone will participate in helping us collect them. Be sure to ask your friends and family to help us too. They are on so many different types of products. First Turn in date is October, so turn in what you have next week! Each box top is worth 10¢ for our school!! There are many exciting things we'd love to do with this money to make our school even better.
