Our transportation department is making sure students get to school safely, although there will be some delays. Tardies will be excused today as a result of the flooding. If your child participated in the Extended Day Program at Pike View Early Childhood Center during 2018, your tax statement is ready for pick up at PVECC.

Pike View ECC hosted “Cooking Matters” for their families. Cooking healthy food on a budget was the main goal. Pizza was on the menu this week. Families enjoyed the fellowship while preparing all the ingredients.





This year, a PVECC grandparent, Mesha Harris, asked if we could have a "grandfamily group" for grandparent's raising their Pre-k grandchildren. They meet monthly at Pike View Early Childhood Center. Today they participated in CPR training led by PVECC school nurse, Sarah Rogers.




Family specialists for the district’s Early Childhood Program were recognized for their hard work in engaging families. They received the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. They were nominated by Jody Edrington, coordinator for the Pike View Early Childhood Center.

Children in Mrs. Lacy and Ms. Tiffany's class and Mrs. Amanda and Ms. Kim's class from Pike View ECC visited the residents at Lakewood Nursing Home to sing Christmas carols. They walked to the CAT bus stop at McCain and JFK with a police escort. Thanks to Officer D!! CAT let the students ride the city bus for free.




Pike View ECC students and staff look forward to the annual visit from Santa and the Optimist Club. This year, children received two gifts, bubbles, and a bag of candy. Thank you to the Optimist Club! Pike View ECC appreciates you!!



Families and staff at Pike View ECC braved the rain, dressed in their pajamas, for a Christmas PJ Party. They took "Selfies with Santa,” listened to Mrs. Claus read a story, decorated Christmas cookies, and made Christmas crafts. Thank you to our Family Specialists for planning a fun event!!





Pre-K students at Pike View ECC performed for their family and friends Thursday morning. A special thanks to our teachers for putting on a great show and to our partners at Fellowship North for sharing their beautiful space.
