Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Lakewood Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Amanda Garlington! Mrs. Garlington is a 4th Grade teacher and 3-5 literacy MCL. She serves on numerous committees at the school. She is always willing to help however she can. This is Amanda’s 10th year to teach at Lakewood.

School Christmas Spirit Week begins Monday! It is Christmas Hat Day! Wear a festive Christmas hat, headband, or ribbon!
We thank those individuals who have signed up to be mentors in our district. If you haven't signed up yet, we still need YOU! Check out these Mentor Orientation Sessions that have been planned.
Also, please make plans to attend our "Calling All Dads and Male Role Models" session on Sunday, which will feature the founders of "Dads on Duty" from Shreveport, La. They first appeared on CBS Evening News. Come and hear how they have made a positive impact in schools.

🎄We have received so many wonderful toys for our STEP Ministries Toy Drive!!! Thank you!!🎄 We are going to extend the drive until 8:30 Monday morning. If you are out shopping over the weekend, please consider picking up a toy to donate. 🎄

The NLRHS PTA will host the Father-Daughter Dance in the NLRHS Cafeteria on February 7, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
