Effective immediately, masks are now optional in the North Little Rock School District.
LWE is doing a community service project for the health workers at Arkansas Children’s Hospital! We are collecting hard candies (peppermints, Jolly Ranchers, etc.) and breakfast/snack bars. Donations will be collected until March 11. Thank you in advance for your help. ❤️
NLRSD will have a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Friday 2/25/22. School will start at 9:50. Doors will open at 9:20. Bus routes will run 2 hours late. The school day will end at the usual time of 2:35. There will be no early dismissal. Stay safe and warm! We will see everyone in the morning.
The NLRSD will pivot to remote learning for Thursday, February 24, 2022, as a result of inclement weather and the pending forecast for tomorrow.

There will be NO RUNNING CLUB today. Please be sure your child wears a mask to school. NLRSD still has a mask mandate. Thank you for helping us with this!
If your student is interested in being in band for 6th grade, he/she must attend one of the scheduled BAND NIGHTS: February 24, March 1 and March 2. The time is between 4-7 each day. The band room is located at the end of the long parking lot past the auditorium. Enter through the blue band room door!
❤️❤️ Valentine’s parties will be Monday 2/14 at 1:45. Teachers will let you know if any items are needed. No visitors may come to parties. As a reminder - we cannot accept any deliveries of flowers, balloons, candies, etc. for students. Please make sure all family members are aware of this. Tomorrow and Friday there is NO SCHOOL for students.❤️❤️
❤️❤️This Wednesday, February 9, is “wear RED day.” Students and staff are asked to wear a red shirt for Heart Health Month. We will be making photos of everyone wearing their red! ❤️❤️

The NLRSD will continue remote learning for February 4. No on-site instruction, after-school activities, or athletic events will occur as all campuses and Central Office sites will be closed.

The North Little Rock School District has been made aware of Governor Asa Hutchinson’s mandate to end contact tracing. However, Governor Hutchinson has given school districts the ability to make health decisions in the best interest of students and staff.
Over the coming days, administrators and nurses in the district will review data and will make recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the North Little Rock Board of Education in the form of a resolution.
For now, we will continue our current procedures regarding contact tracing and quarantines.
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Parents, Because of the impending winter weather tomorrow, CLASS PICTURES will be rescheduled until a later date. They will not be made tomorrow! As SOON as Dr. Pilewski makes a decision about school tomorrow, we will send that information to you. If we cannot meet in person, students will be bringing AMI work home today.

Because of the forecast for rain today and winter precipitation on Thursday, Running Club will not meet this week. Be sure your child knows how to get home after school today, please. Hopefully we will have some good spring running days coming up soon!
