Tomorrow is National Wear Red Day. Wear your RED in order to show support of good heart health. Students will wear red shirts with their uniform bottoms.
Lakewood had many sick children today. There were many absences and confirmed cases of flu. Several more students went home today with fever. Please watch your child for headache, sore throat, upset stomach, and fever. A child who has fever is contagious even if it can be controlled with medicine. A child must be fever free for 24 hours without medicine before returning to school. Thank you for keeping LWE healthy. We hope everyone is well soon.
Class photos will be made on the morning of February 6. Order forms will be coming home in backpacks by this Friday
Sea World Camp is selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to help fund their 5th grade trip. Order forms went home in backpacks. They can be ordered through Friday and picked up in the bus lane on Monday, January 29, from 7:30 until 8:00.
There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, January 15, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. School will resume Tuesday at 7:50 am.

Lakewood Make-up picture day is Tuesday, January 9. If you need to order pictures on this day, please have your student come by the office and get an order form.
It was exciting to see all of our Lakewood students today! Everyone did a great job of getting to class by 7:50. Having few tardies is a great start to 2018.

LWE Students may bring $1 and wear Christmas shirts and Santa hats this Friday, December 15. The money will help student council with a service project.
Basketball tryouts for boys and girls in grades 2-5 will begin this week. Your student should have brought a letter home about tryouts today. This is for students who signed up earlier this school year.
It’s time to sign up for Little Rockers Marathon! Students will be bringing home information about this fun event. Put on your running shoes and get ready to MOVE!
4th grade students will be taking the ACT Aspire Interim II tests Monday and Tuesday mornings. Please come to school rested and ready to do your BEST!
