Lakewood calendars can be ordered through this Friday. Please buy one and support our sea campers. You will find important school information in it. The price is $10 and can be ordered in the school office. Thank you!
Thank you, students, parents and staff, for making this a great first week of school! Everyone has been working hard. Thank you, parents, for your cooperation in the car lanes. After Monday, we ask that parents allow children to be independent when walking to class every morning.

School begins tomorrow! Doors will open by 7:15 and class will start at 7:50. Dismissal is at 2:30. Please work with us to get the year off to a GREAT START!
Lakewood Launch and Open House is Thursday, August 9. Outside activities will begin at 5:00. The school will open at 5:30 and students can find out teachers at that time. It will end at 7:00 pm.
LWE 5th Grade Back-to-School Pool Party is August 10 from 8:00-9:30 pm at the Overbrook Pool. Admission is $7 and concessions will be sold. This is for 5th Graders only. See you there!

After reading the book, Ms. Bixby’s Last Day, Lakewood fifth graders decided to raise money for AR Children’s Hospital. They did a variety of activities such as car wash, bake sale, kickball game, selling t-shirts and bracelets, etc. They raised over $1700 to fight cancer! Great job by a caring group of children.
Book Express schedule
The NLRSD Book Express bus is making the rounds this summer. It will be at McCain Mall in the Lakewood area every Thursday from 12:30-2:30. Come check out books, participate in fun activities, and see your friends.
Lakewood offices will not be open on a regular schedule until July 25. Our secretaries have begun a well-deserved vacation. Students should be enrolled online on the link at www.nlrsd.org.
