Over the weekend, the NLRHS/COE Chess Team attended an invitational chess tournament in Bryant and won 1st place against 11 other teams. Our players include COE students Owen Webber and Kristen Buford and NLHS students Andrew Jenkins and Mason Fitzgerald. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Deontae' Young on being named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Player of the Week! The senior had 5 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble in last Friday's playoff game against Southside. The Charging Wildcats won 28-14. Congratulations to Devin Jackson on being named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Player of the Week! This is the second time this season Jackson has earned this honor. At last Friday's game, Jackson had 6 punts with an average of 44 yards. One of those punts landed on the one yard line. He also had two touchbacks on kickoff. It's now playoffs! The Charging Wildcats will host the Fort Smith Southside Mavericks on Friday. Tickets can ONLY be purchased through GoFan.com or on the AAA website, ahsaa.org. All 9th graders will be attending a Career Expo on Wednesday, November 2, at the Little Rock Statehouse Convention Center. A permission form with all field trip information was provided to students in their Freshman Seminar class. Students will receive a classroom grade for their participation. If they are unable to attend, they will have an alternate assignment to complete. Congratulations to Malachi Gober on being named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Player of the Week! Gober threw 14 complete passes out of 29 for 205 yards and 2TDs. He also rushed for 55 yards and had 2 rushing TDs. We defeated Northside 38-14. Way to go, Malachi!

Congratulations to Diemere Manuel on being named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Player of the Week! The senior had 3 interceptions in last week's game against Jonesboro. The Charging Wildcats spoiled the Hurricanes' homecoming, defeating them 28-14. This week, the Charging Wildcats will travel to Fort Smith and will face the Northside Grizzlies. Way to go, Diemere, and let's go, Charging Wildcats!
