Congratulations to Braxton Johnson, who earned the Class 7A Defensive Player of the Year award! This honor was presented to Johnson by Hooten's Football and Arkansas Farm Bureau. Johnson's mother and grandmother accepted the award on his behalf.


Josh Hunter, Bethany Sessions, and Joe Hofford, senior managers for the Charging Wildcat Football Team, each received a "Player of the Week" game ball for their contributions to the program. Their dedication to the team and coaches does not go unnoticed!

Also, please make plans to attend our "Calling All Dads and Male Role Models" session on Sunday, which will feature the founders of "Dads on Duty" from Shreveport, La. They first appeared on CBS Evening News. Come and hear how they have made a positive impact in schools.

NLR Cheer had a great competition in Hot Springs this weekend! Competing against all the top 6A teams in the state, NLR came out in top winning First Place overall and Grand Champs with the highest scoring routine of the day!
One more competition this weekend in Bentonville, then off to state the following week. Fans are encouraged to support this dynamic team at state, which will be on December 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hot Springs Convention Center.


The semifinal matchup is set for Friday! The Charging Wildcats head to Bryant for a game that will determine who plays at War Memorial Stadium for the Class 7A Championship!

Congratulations to Malachi Gober on being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau for his performance in last Friday's quarterfinal game against Bentonville.
The quarterback had a 23/34 QB rating for 153 yards and 3 TD passes. This includes the game-winning pass to Larry Wilbourn with 11 seconds left in the game! (What a game!) Gober also rushed four times for 11 yards. The Charging Wildcats outlasted the Bentonville Tigers, 24-21.
Way to go, Malachi!


Congratulations to Jonathan Grayson on being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau for his stellar performance in the first playoff game on 11/12 against Fort Smith Southside.
The senior had a tackle, two QB hurries, an interception return for a TD, and a fumble recovery which resulted in a TD. The Charging Wildcats beat the Southside Mavericks, 51-7.
Way to go, Jonathan!

Akins, a senior, had 4 tackles, 1 assist, 1 tackle for loss, 2 interceptions, and 1 interception for a TD! The Charging Wildcats bested the Cabot Panthers, 41-26.
The Charging Wildcats will host the Southside Mavericks on Friday in the first round of the playoffs.

Congratulations to Corliss Farmer on being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau.
The senior offensive lineman graded out at 85% and had two knockdown blocks and no QB pressures. The Charging Wildcats bested the FS Northside Grizzlies, 28-21.
The Charging Wildcats will head to Bryant in what has become a spirited rivalry. The two teams have battled one another in the state championship game each year since 2018.
Way to go, Corliss, and keep it up, Charging Wildcats!


Congratulations to Josh Thrower on being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau. This is Thrower's second time this season to earn this honor.
Thrower, a senior, had a tackle and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown! The Charging Wildcats were victorious in their homecoming game, defeating the LR Catholic Rockets, 42-7.
The Charging Wildcats will host the Northside Grizzlies on Friday, which is the last home game of the regular season. We will recognize all seniors who participate in fall sports at 6:25 p.m.
