October 27 and October 29 will be observed as Remote Learning and Parent Teacher Conference days. Students will NOT report to school. Instead, they must log on for live instruction. Parent-Teacher Conference will be virtual and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. Contact your child's school to schedule a meeting with their teacher.

Dear Parent(s) of North Little Rock Academy, We (NLR Academy Staff) would like for our students to have a successful year, in spite of the educational changes caused by the pandemic. Our staff is working hard to meet all safety precautions outlined by the CDC and NLRSD. At this current time, we have noticed an increase in student's absences. If a student exceeds the allotted amount of unexcused absences, in a school year they may not receive credit for a particular course. With so many things going on in the world today, we would like the chance to decrease the worries of your child’s educational needs. The 2nd 9 weeks of this school year will begin on October 20, 2020. We would like to see your student on site in the classroom setting on that day. October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. The North Little Rock School District is recognizing this month with a series of initiatives to make our students and families aware of dyslexia and the services that we provide. https://tinyurl.com/y5fvw4mr

We have been approved to have Virtual Learning Fridays! This will begin on 10/23. In summary, attending school on Fridays is optional. Students enrolled in face-to-face instruction will have the option of completing assignments either in person or at home. Virtual students will complete assignments as normal. These assignments will be completed asynchronously, which means there will be no live instruction. No new material will be introduced. Attendance will still be taken. We’re so thankful to Pastor Jameel Wesley and the Eighth Street Baptist Church for providing Meadow Park Elementary and the North Little Rock Academy with $2,000 each! The money will be used to fund COVID-related expenses for the benefit of students and staff. Thanks again!
