Melanie Griffey and Nancy Simpson of Lakewood Elementary received the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. Nominated by their principal, Mrs. Cortney Bost, the two teachers were saluted for organizing the school science fair for fifth graders.

The North Little Rock Board of Education recognized NLR Varsity for winning the Class 6A state cheer competition! They made history this year as the first team in Class 6A to ever win state with only 11 girls on that mat.
They are heading to Orlando next month for nationals!

At tonight's Regular Board Meeting, Mariah Strong and Za'Koya Woods from Seventh Street, took us on a journey around their campus. Their words were followed by a video explaining positive changes that have been implemented at their school this year.
They did a great job!

Za'Koya Woods, a fifth grader at Seventh Street Elementary School, provided the invocation at tonight's Regular Board Meeting.

The COE student ambassadors represent their campus and respective career academy. They provide students, potential students, families, and businesses with information on their school, their paths of study, and represent the student body at various events.
The ambassadors are model scholars and do an exceptional job of promoting their school and providing insight on the various opportunities afforded to students.

Welcome home, Coach Bolding!
Coach Bolding, who just led the Little Rock Parkview Patriots to its third straight state football championship and has earned multiple Coach of the Year awards, will return north of the Arkansas River to serve as Head Football Coach and Supervisor of Student-Athlete Development and Growth.
Coach Bolding has more than 25 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels, focusing not only athletic performance but also character development, academic achievement, and community involvement.

We are happy to announce that all schools will reopen for students and staff on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, and at normal times. Please note we will not dismiss early on Wednesday, January 15.
