Green

The North Little Board of Education approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to appoint Tonya Green as the Nursing Supervisor for the school district. In this role, she will provide leadership, consultation, coordination, in-services, program development, and program evaluation services to nurses, principals, teachers, and other staff in the North Little Rock School District (NLRSD).

Green has been a part of the NLRSD since August 2010. She served as the building nurse at North Little Rock Middle School – Seventh & Eighth Grade Campus and Glenview Elementary School. She was tapped to serve as the COVID-19 Point of Contact, serving as an advisor to school-level and district-level administrators on COVID-19 prevention strategies and the district’s liaison to the Arkansas Department of Health. 

Before joining the NLRSD, Green has served as a registered nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and an Emergency Room Technician at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock and Southwest Hospital and Hugely Hospital, both in Fort Worth, Texas.

In 2021, Green’s colleagues selected her as the Safety Services & Security Employee of the Year. 

Green earned a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education from Capella University. She also received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and an Associate of Science Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
