Mrs. Pecolya McFadden will be the new Assistant Principal at Seventh Street Elementary School. She comes to Seventh Street from Arkansas Lighthouse Academies, where she served as Director of Teacher Leadership and Building-Level Test Coordinator.
Mrs. McFadden will begin this role on July 20.
At Arkansas Lighthouse Academies, Mrs. McFadden has observed teachers, provided instructional training and support to teachers and staff, and collaborated with district leadership on curriculum design models to improve student outcomes. She has been in this role since August 2020. Prior to that appointment, she taught elementary grade levels at schools in the Pulaski County Special School District. At Harris Elementary School, Mrs. McFadden served as an Instructional Literacy Specialist and Response to Intervention Coordinator.
Mrs. McFadden’s professional career in education began at Covenant Keepers Charter School in Little Rock as a Secondary Teacher.
“I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” said Mrs. McFadden. “I look forward to meeting with students, staff, and families of Seventh Street and working to make sure our students are learning and thriving,” she said.
Mrs. McFadden earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, a Building-Level Administrator Endorsement, and a Master of Arts in Education from Harding University. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science with an Education Concentration from Ashford University.
