TEACHERS AND CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES OF THE YEAR
Each year, we recognize our exceptional employees who go above and beyond to keep this school district functioning at a high level.
Teachers vote for a colleague from among themselves to serve as their campus' Building-Level Teacher(s) of the Year. These teachers then apply to become NLRSD Teacher of the Year by completing a thorough application and participating in an interview. The NLRSD Teacher of the Year is unveiled to the public at the Night of Honors, which is the district's signature event to recognize outstanding teachers and support staff.
The NLRSD Teacher of the Year represents the district as he or she vies to become Arkansas Teacher of the Year.
Classified staff members also vote upon a colleague from among themselves based on the employee workgroup of which they are a part. The Night of Honors event always takes place in April.
